Client and Idea

Decades of medical knowledge that deserved to reach more students

Dr Sixto Guzmán Soliz has spent his life in surgery and in teaching. His books are required reading for medical students in Oruro, but they existed only on paper. He needed a way for his students to reach the content from anywhere, at any time, without losing the teaching structure he had built over years. We built CirGuZ as a platform where students study lessons organised by book, with high-quality anatomical figures, progress tracking and access controlled by academic course.

The Challenge

Dr Guzmán Soliz's material existed only on paper. Students relied on photocopies or on borrowing the books. He needed to share his knowledge without losing control over who has access, and without the teaching structure being lost in the move to digital. On top of that, many students have limited connectivity, so the platform had to work offline and stay as light as possible.

Every feature was designed around two users: the student who needs to study fast and without friction, and the doctor who needs full control over his content and his students.

49+ Organised Lessons

Dr Guzmán's content is structured by book, chapter and lesson. Students navigate exactly as they would with the physical book, but with interactive figures and progress markers telling them where they left off.

The doctor's pedagogical structure was preserved intact — not a nuance was lost from what he had built over years of teaching.

Complete visual personalisation

The platform adapts to how each student works. Three theme modes — light, dark and automatic (following the operating system preference) — plus an accent colour system that changes buttons, icons and interactive elements from a single choice.

Students pick from quick presets or open a full colour picker and move freely across the canvas — the hex value updating in real time as they drag. The result applies instantly across the whole interface, with no reload. On study platforms this kind of personalisation reduces eye strain and makes the workspace feel like your own.

PWA: Works Without Internet

The platform installs straight from the browser and works offline. Ideal for students with limited connectivity who need to study anywhere, at any time.

Once installed on the device it behaves like a native app — home screen icon, instant loading and a smooth experience on phone, tablet and computer.

Typography

Typography is not just aesthetics — it is voice. The typefaces chosen for CirGuZ convey medical authority and human warmth at the same time, working at every size and on every medium.

Sans-Serif

Used in titles, headings and navigation. Its geometric, rounded forms convey modernity without losing legibility on small screens.

Colour Palette

CirGuZ does not have one colour — it has whichever colour each student chooses. Blue is the brand identity, but the platform adapts to whoever is using it through a full theming system and an unlimited personalisation palette.

Medical blue. The brand colour and the platform's default accent. It conveys trust, clinical precision and academic authority.

Light Mode

White background for daytime sessions or well-lit spaces. Maximum legibility and clean contrast for reading lessons and anatomical figures without strain.

Dark Mode

Dark background for studying at night or in low light. It reduces eye strain over long sessions — made for the student working late.

Your Colour

Beyond the quick presets, students open a full palette and drag the cursor across the canvas — the hex value updates in real time and the accent applies instantly across the whole interface.

Sitemap

The site structure was designed so patients find what they are looking for in as few clicks as possible. Each section answers a question users ask themselves before booking an appointment.

Conclusion

CirGuZ turned decades of medical knowledge on paper into an accessible, controlled, offline digital platform. The project shows that technology applied well can preserve and amplify a teacher's legacy without losing any of its essence.
