Frequently asked questions

Do “Hello” and “hello” count as duplicates?

Only if you tick “Ignore case”. Without that option they are compared exactly as written.

Does it keep the original order?

Yes: it keeps the first occurrence of each line and preserves the order. If you tick “Sort alphabetically”, the result is sorted from A to Z.

Is it good for email or code lists?

Yes, that is its most common use: cleaning up lists of emails, codes, names or URLs before importing them into another system.
